From 17 to 20 October 2013, the event engaged hundreds of spectators to watch films and discuss the challenges and opportunities for our built environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The diverse selection of 117 films, documentaries and fiction, included 44 films that were selected for the international film competition <strong>\u201cThe city is \u2026\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The winning national films of this competition were:<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>Blanco Oscuro<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> by Eduardo Pezoa (Chile, 2012) in the category of fiction feature film;<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>Extinci\u00f3n<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> by Natalia Luque (Chile, 2011), \u00a0category short film documentary;<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>Los ojos de Ruskin<\/i>\u201d<\/strong>, category experimental short film (Chile, 2013);<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>Piling Up<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> by Cristobal Palma in architectural record short film (Chile, 2012);<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>La Mudanza<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> by Tatiana Lorca in the category of feature-length documentary (Chile, 2011).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The international winners were:<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>Vienna waits for you<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> by Dominik Harti in short fiction film (Austria\/Chile, 2013);<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>Meeting at the building<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> by Carlota Coloma in short film documentary (Spain, 2012);<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>Hello, Ms. Hock<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> in experimental short film (Spain, 2012 );<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<i>Hacer ciudad<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> by Guillermo Amato in feature-length documentary (Mexico, 2011).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The jury was composed of:<br \/>\n\u2013 Christian Ramirez, journalist and film critic,<br \/>\n\u2013 Martin Schmidt, Director of the School of Architecture of the Creative Campus of Andr\u00e9s Bello University,<br \/>\n\u2013 Fernando Lavanderos, film and television director (\u201cLas cosas como son\u201d).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Toledotaegui co-produced ArqFilmFest 2013.
